Pat holds both a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) and a Master of Kinesiology (MKIN) from the University of British Columbia.
Prior to his physiotherapy career, Pat has been helping individuals manage injuries and reach physical goals
through his work as a Kinesiologist since 2015. Pat has extensive experience working with seniors through
his work as a kinesiologist with the Changing Aging program at UBC.
He also has a special
interest in working with all athletes from recreational to high performance. During his MKIN
program, Pat was offered a scholarship to work as a graduate assistant strength coach for UBC
varsity sport teams. Due to his background, Pat is able to perform a sports needs analysis and
develop a personal return to play treatment plan to mitigate the risk of re-injury.
Pat believes that our ability to change our bodies through exercise is an amazing privilege. His
goal is to help clients recover from injuries by empowering them to take an active role in
rehabilitation. In a treatment session, you can expect a combination of manual therapy, strength
and mobility exercises, and education on how to manage your injury until our next session.
Outside the clinic, Pat is passionate about pursuing his own physical goals. Pat is a former
provincial champion in Olympic Weightlifting, and has represented Team BC on multiple
occasions. Previously he has competed at the World level in competitive cheerleading. He also
enjoys playing basketball and racquet sports in his spare time, and enjoys learning about new sports from his clients!
Pat is fluent in English and Cantonese.
